The ACTconsists of curriculum-based achievement tests in the areas of English, mathematics, reading and science reasoning. An interest inventory helps students match the work activities and environment they prefer with careers. Scores are produced for each of the four tests and as a composite (average) on a range of 1 (low) to 36 (high). Registration materials, information, and applications are available in the Career Resource Center. YOU MUST REGISTER TO TAKE THESE TESTS. To register for PSAT and AP tests, go to the General Office.

To be considered for a merit scholarship, a student must submit ACT results to the State of Michigan.
The ACT must be taken on the April test date during the student's junior year or the October test of the student's senior year.

ACTscores are used for the State of Michigan Competitive Scholarship Program awards. This scholarship requires a student to have a score of 90* (total of sub tests or composite of 23) and demonstrated financial need. The last test date by which students may use qualifying scores is the December test.
